My MOM has always been there when I needed her and she has spoiled me giving me everything I have ever asked for. My mom was a performer at Disneys tarzan rocks and when the show closed back in 06 Disney put her on odd jobs as a TA position and finally told her she would be an entertainment manager and then they make her one and take it away so she lost her job. she has been really depressed and to make it even worse i am a 22yr old hair stylist that recently fell and broke my arm so i havnt been able to work and now she is supporting me. I am her only child and i feel teriable that i can not buy her a mothers day gift or even repay her for everything that she has ever done for me. My mother is the Greatest mother in the world and the coolest and i would love nothing more than to have something special for her. - Briana

My Mom deserves the "Mom's Day Out" because she does for everyone other than herself. She never treats herself to a day out, or a spa day, or a shopping spree because she focuses all of her time and money on her 4 children and their education and needs. She never even stops and thinks about doing for herself and does not consider it an option. I would love the opportunity to force her to relax and let someone take care of her instead of her taking care of everyone else. It is an honor to have our Mom as a role model, and my siblings and I extremely blessed to have her. -Brittny

It is for me, it is my first mother's day and my husband was in the military got out and got a job then lost his job and we have no money to celebrate Mother's day. - Brooke

My mom deserves a day out because she just graduated from college on Friday and she always does things for me and my brother and not herself. She wont even buy herself anything even though we tell her to. My mom is very helpful and works in ICU taking care of others and my brother and I thinks she needs a day of girl stuff all by herself, we love our mom and are very proud of her for graduating college for the first time ever. - Carolyn

My Mom has been a nurse for 50years. She has raised 3 girls by herself. She has volunteered her whole life. Mom has survived 5 different cancers (currently mycosis fungoides)and has never smoked. She recently has looked after me while I have been recovering from back surgery. She has bathed, dressed and driven me to appointments and been by my side helping me with my children. She is 70yrs old and has never been in a limo. I would love for her to have this experience because if any Mom deserves it she does. Her name is Barbara Bisson and she is an amazing and giving person. - Donna

My mother has taken care of me and my two older brothers my entire life. She has helped me when i was 16 and got my future wife pregnant. she was there for all the things we needed without a questions asked. She was there for my brother every time he got in trouble with the law. Even when he was mean and disrespectful to her. My mother has been through so much in the last 5 years that she has had no time for her self and i think this spa thing would be really nice to show my thanks to my mom for everything she has done for my wife, my family, and especially me. Thank you Mom so much i love you and hope you win you really do deserve this more than anyone i know. - Michael

My mother's name is Heidi Phillips. She is the most amazing mother in the world, and I am truly lucky to have her as mine. She has always been a best friend to me and my 3 sibling. My mother has dedicated her life to raising our family and being a teacher. My mother teaches 2nd grade and does everything she can to make a difference in every child's life. She has made such a huge impact on my life that I have chosen to become a teacher and strive to be as amazing as she is. When I became a single parent, I was very unsure of myself and my future. My mother gave me all of the strength I've needed to raise my daughter and teach her that she can be anything she wants to be. My mother deserves to have a very special mother's day because she is truly the most amazing mother (and grandmother) in the world. My daughter Makayla is writing this with me and she wanted to add that "grandma is the best grandma in the whole wide universe" - Michelle

"My Mother Elsie, is a figure of strength and a beautiful person inside and out. She is a cheerful, joking, lover of music and tends to see the glass as half full. She was an amazing stay-at-home caretaker and Mommy to my late brother Georgito. We had the priveledge of having Georgito in our family until last July when he passed due to natural complications related to his condition of cerebral palsy, at the age of 28. In his infancy his doctors didn't expect him to live past the age of 12. I attribute his relative longevity in great part to the care my mother gave him around the clock without ever complaining or feeling sorry for herself. I think a girl's day out where she can feel like a queen for a day is exactly what she deserves. Sincerely, Neisha B."

my mom and I need a moms day out because we dont get to see each other very often, maybe once or twice a year because i live here in orlando and she lives in North Carolina. My mom moved away about 7 yrs ago when my step dad was layed off from his job. My mom is almost 55 yrs old and she has health issues with her back and she is starting to have trouble walking because the pain from her back is now going to her hip. All of the discs in her back are bad, and she actually surgery on her back a few years ago, and now the problem is starting again, so its getting harder for her to move around. Now that Im a mom with 2 small kids, i look back and miss the times I was younger and my mom lived here and I could see her everyday, i dont have that anymore. My mom could really use a nice day at the spa and I could too. That would be very nice for us because as mother and daughter we have never done that together. Its very hard on me sometimes to not have my mom here, i dont have a big family, really my only family is my mom and my step dad and of course my husband and kids. We dont get to spend holidays, or birthdays together very much because money is always tight and with gas being so expensive, driving 8 hrs isnt in the budget. I would love to spend a mothers day with my mom and do something special, we havent spent a mothers day together since she moved 7 years ago. We do visit maybe two times a year, usually christmas and my mom tries to come to florida for my kids birthday, but she cant always make it. Please choose us for this wonderful mothers day gift, it would be such a nice thing to do for my mom. My mom is always there for me and even though im an adult if i ever need anything, my mom always finds a way to help me and my family. I love her more than life and miss her everyday. I have included a pic of me and my mom and 2 friends(its the most recent), me and my mom are in the middle, im wearing a pink and white shirt and my mom is wearing a blue shirt. thank you. Pamela

"I know everybody says this, but my mom truly is an incredible woman and deserves a day out more than anyone I know. She is a hard working mother of six who has done everything and anything you can possibly imagine to support and care for her family. She had me at 44 years old (I am the youngest) and never failed to keep up her energy and be an amazing mom. She has been married to the love of her life, my father, for over 45 years and last year when he was diagnosed with two different cancers, she did everything possible to pay the bills on her own, care for my father, and care for her ill mother who passed away early this year. She is now 68 years old, working full time (and usually overtime) but never complains. With all she has been through, she always has a smile on her face and is still the same compassionate a loving mother and grandmother (to 8 grandkids!) that she has always been! My mom definitely deserves a day out!" - Shayna

Mom my is a wonderful person. She works very hard and always always makes time for my brother and I. I am 16 and he is 13. She is 41 and has never been in a limo. She works full time. She is also our friend. She is so awesome! She loves us so much and I can't think of a better mom and friend. Please consider her for this. Thank You, Zack.

I haven't had a vacation in years. My pay was cut by $220. a week. Under so much stress I was getting migraines daily and had a mini-stroke on March 2. - Cynthia

She is a stay at home mom and she always has the house dusted and spotless clean and make sure everyone eats and has a good day! - Emily

Why i believe my mother should have a moms day out!!!!! My Grandma had a stoke about 5 years ago adn over the past 4 years Alzheimer is kicking in so she was unable to live on her our anymore so my Grandma (dads Mom)had to move in with my Mon & Dad... My Dad and i work all day so my Mom has to take care of my Grandmother everyday (full time job pretty much) and my 16 year old brother... she has not had a break since Grandma has had her stoke... My Mother is a wonderful person and really deserves a wonderful day just like her! Thank You, Gina

I can sum up my mom's need for a Mom's Day Out in Two Words: Ten Kids. I am the oldest of ten, with ages ranging from 41 to 22. My mom stayed at home for 20 years raising 5 boys and 5 girls. Now she has gone back to school and is a massage therapist. - James

My mom needs a Mom's Day Out because she is a very giving person, often doing without to help others. She takes on all of the finances at home, worrying about it to the point of mental exhaustion. It has gotten to the point that she's applying for a part-time job to make end meet. I cannot think of the last time she took time for herself nor can I think of a person more deserving of a "Mom's Day Out." - Jennifer

I am nominating my mom Nancy because at 81 years young she survived quadruple bypass heart surgery two months ago. She had every complication and she is still recovering but is fighting every day to get better. I am so proud of her and after 60 years of marriage how she was more worried about my Dad than herself. This has been a difficult time for all of us but especially for my mom and would love to see her get a treat that she deserves :) - Lori

"My mom needs a Mom's Day Out because she takes care of me; but especially because she needs to update her wardrobe and this is a way for her to give to herself. She is a single mom and has me all the time and makes sure that I have what I need. She really needs new pants and this is a way that I can make her get some! She also like to be pampered, but doesn't pamper herself. This would be awesome for mothers day. I hope she wins! Kasey"

Her smile can brighten anyone's day, her laughter will make you want to laugh, and when she hugs you, you can feel the warmth from her heart. There are a plethora of people you meet along life journey but just a few will forever remain in our hearts. She is not my mother but my best friends, but since my mother is so far away she adopted me as a daughter. Most, if not all parents will do anything for their children and always want to see them succeed. Then they are the few parents who take their children's friends as their own kids; if they are buying something for their child, they will buy you the very same thing because they want what is best for you. She calls just to see how my day goes, if I go on distant trips I must call her when I reach my destination, when I visit her she offers me the whole entire house anything I want she would give me.I always feel quite honored in her presence, but she treats others the same way, just a generous person to everyone. I am closer to her than to most of my own family members, and when you find someone with such a magnanimous heart you must hold on that person, for love so profound doesn't come around too often. I know she will enjoy a mother's day, such as the one you all are bestowing upon the lucky contestants. Thank you for taking time to read my little note, have a blessed day.

My mom has been through some rough times with 8 children to raise and then loosing them. she has finally come back into my life, and we found out she has non Hopkins lymphoma and will begin treatment soon. I feel she needs a day of no stress and full of relaxation, to get her mind ready to heal. - Tonya

My name is Annmarie and I would like to nominate my mom for the moms day out. In August of 2010 her life was turned upside down. My 19 year old niece who was more a little sister to me and a daughter to my parents was coming down to surprise them as she had moved away that year to Alabama, had just recently got married and a baby on the way. My niece never made it to Florida that night. She was killed in an accident in georgia. I would love to see my mom have a day where she can enjoy a day all about her, relax and and put it all aside even if it would be only for a day. My mom has always had a fun loving sense of humor. My parents are the most giving people. They have always put themselves last to everyone. They have been the rock of the family. If i could put a wig on my dad and nominate him too I would! lol I believe she deserves a MOM's day as she has been the best mother anyone could ask for for so many reasons i could not possibly list them all here plus she has had to put up with me and my sister for 40 years :) thats deserving in itself. My mother LOVES to shop even window shopping!!!! My dads favorite kind. :) - Annmarie

"My mom's name is Nilda Arana, she is 62 yrs young. Last June 2011 she had an extensive back surgery. The surgery was only supposed to be to insert some spacers, but once the doctor got in, he saw that her vertebra was disaligned, so he had to also put in a rod to correct her lower back. A day after surgery she took a fall while the therapist was trying to assist her in getting up, and since then, my mom has not been the same!! She lived in 2 different nursing homes for her rehab, all of these months since then and up until now, she has had straight therapy with hardly any success of being able to walk right. She is currently still using a walker and also a wheelchair. An MRI was done about 3 mons ago, and come to find out her spacers had shifted due to the fall she took at the hospital. It will be a yr soon, and my mom thought and was told that she would be able to walk normal again within a couple of mons after surgery. She has gone through a couple of depression periods, she continues to say she will never walk again, that she will be paralized for the rest of her life. It truly has been a struggle for her. She's unable to drive, my dad is the one to drive her around everywhere. She was one to always be out and about, Ross, Marshals, she loves shopping!!! And now because of her physical condition, she's unable to go back to her normal way of life, like what she had before. The doctors now say, that after this Dec 2012, another MRI will be done, and if she has not improved from the therapy from now till then, they will have to go back in to fix the spacers. She's a very spunky mom, and I love her dearly. I would give anything to see her back to how she used to be. And so would my sisters, dad, and everyone that loves her! Please grant me and my sisters this wish for Magic to give her the best day ever, of pampering, relaxation, and a whole day for her to feel and know that SHE truly is a very special lady. Sincerely, Brenda A Thank you"

My mother is a very strong woman. She was a single parent and raised two children and was strong enough to get out of a horrible relationship with our father. She raised us all alone, and worked hard to give us what we needed. She is always helping others and for once I would like her to be pampered. She deserves it and I appreciate her so much. - Christina

"I am submitting this on behalf of myself as my husband tells me I should do more for me. I have a wonderful husband Adam and two children Madison 11 and Michael 5. I work full time and maintain our home as best as I can. However; this has been a very hectic and crazy year. My kids love to do extra curricular activities and are currently both in soccer. Due to their difference in age I end up going to two different practices during the week as well as two games on Saturday wich is a lot. Also my husband has gone back to college and he's there Tuesday and Thursday nights. My schedule is so crazy it leaves very little time for me. My 11 year old daughter has had more pedicures than me several years in a row due to her outings. I can't remember when I last had one to be honest. In addition, My dad passed away at the end of last year with Alheimers and right before Easter this year I lost my uncle to the same disease. Magic 107.7 has always been there for me when I needed a mental escape and now that I need one physically I am casting my vote. Mama needs a break BAD so please help a woman/MOTHER out.... I really feel like I need to recharge so I am a better wife to my husband and mom to my kids. Thank you for your time and your contest... Sending it out into the universe!" - Debbie

"I would love to present this to my Mom. She is a great Mother and a WONDERFUL Grandmother. In 2001 she battled stage IV colon cancer. She was hospitalized numerous times due to complications from procedures and from chemotherapy. Finally finishing chemotherapy in April. Just three months later my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. She has always been strong for everyone! In 2003, I married and my parents were ecstatic. They were anxious for their first grandchild, since I was an only child. In 2005, I was diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis with two large endometriomas. I was scheduled to have surgery to remove an ovary and a fallopian tube, hoping that we would be able to salvage the other and still be able to start a family. I woke up from the surgery to be told that there was no option, the Doctor was forced to perform and complete and radical hysterectomy. My Mother got me through it. It was difficult because we would not have pathology results for a while and I would never be able to have children. In 2006 we welcomed our beautiful little daughter from China. My Mother could not have been more happy. We actually sold our homes and moved next door to one another to be closer and enjoy the rest of our lives. We are currently waiting, waiting and still waiting for a sister for our daughter. Grandma is anxious also. This would be an awesome way to show how much I appreciate my Mom for everything that she has done for our family." - Jen

"She is presently working two jobs. One is from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the second one is from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 5 days a week for two months. She is scoring tests through Kelly Services. She told us that would be the only way to pay for the tires she needed for the family car and if that is what it took, then so be it. I'll tell you what though she looks awfully tired and I'll bet a little pampering would go a long way towards giving her that extra energy for the following weeks as she finishes her assignment. In the picture she's the one on the left (in pink). Thanks, Kathy"
  •
I am nominated my beautiful wife Lori to win because she is the most deserving person I know that really deserves a break. She works two jobs to help our sons & I in every way that she can. When not running a Doctors office where she is always helping people or at her sales job on the weekend she is helping her mother recover from surgery and anyone else who needs a helping hand. Her day starts at 6am & ends around midnight but she does this all lovingly and never complains about anything. My beautiful wife deserves a day out with you Leslye! - John

They say it takes a village to raise a child. It seems like my mom has always been the entire village. From the childhood kids growing up to work at the High school she has adopted thousands of kids. She also has taught a youth group at 6:30am every morning for the past 5 years. When you think about what a Grandmother should be like there should be a picture of my mother next to it. She has supported her family almost single handedly during these tough economically times and really needs a big thank you for all the hard work she puts in. - Kathleen

My mom needs a Mom's Day Out because she hasn't been out in years! She has been dealing with her aging alzheimer parents and needs a break. She is the best mom in the world and deserves to be pampered. I love her so much! - Kerry
  •
my mom is amazing! she has always been a huge support for me emotionally & financially, she is always there for me no matter what. Actually, she's always there for a lot of people, she is the most selfless person I have ever known (besides my grandma, but that's where mom gets it from) After I had my son, I realized that I had to go back to work after just 3 months of maternity leave. My mom graciously offered to watch my son from 7a-6p 5 days a week from the age of 3 months to 2 1/2 years! They still have an incredible bond that will stay with him his whole life. I'm glad she was there for me then & is still there for me now, whenever I need her. - Krissy

It isn't easy being a firefighters wife. She works full time, is a student, and takes care of 2 kids 3 and under while I'm away at least 24 hours at a time if not 48 hours. - Mark

Mrs. Ana Ramos Cruz is the very definition of a loving, caring, compassionate Mom, Wife, and Grandma. As a Military Spouse she faithfully supported her Husband and Country through 20 years of military service enduring countless hardships and challenges around the world never once wavering in her resolve to keep the family together and always providing the guidance and encouragement the family needed even in the most difficult times. Having now successfully raising 3 children whom are very well adjusted productive members of society, Mrs. Ana R. Cruz most definitely deserves a Ladies Day Out for her faithful, selfless dedication and devotion to duty. - Pedro

Being a good wife and ensuring there always food cooked, home cleaned, laundry, bills paid, grocery done, pet cared for, got food, walked and bathed. Car vaccumed and washed. All roles a female can possibilly be I am, mother, daughter, wife, manager, sister, teacher, doctor, counselor, friend. I am tired and needs to be able to get a day off. - Renee

"Dear Leslye and Jana, My mother is probably the most genuine person you could ever know. She is hard-working, selfless and would do anything for her children, and even a stranger on the street. My mom definetly deserves a break! She didnt get the opportunity to go to college but she works non-stop to give her three children the best opportunity in life. She works 7 days a week and even on her slow days she lives on her phone dealing with customers. She never gets a minute for herself. She is always stressed out and I wish there was something I could do to help. She deserves so much. She always wears the same couple outfits because she doesnt want to spend a penny on herself. She says she rather save the money for when we need it. Lesyle and Jana I really need your help! So I can give my mom the best mothers dayy gift!! Thank you Sincerely, Desperate Daughter - Sabrina"

I don't know anyone who deserves a day out more than my mom. For the past six years, she has been caring for my elderly grandmother who lives with her and never takes any time to do anything special for herself. In the past few months, my grandma's health has deteriorated rapidly, leaving her bedridden and reliant on my mother for nearly all of her care. However, my mom has never complained. She continues to care for my grandma round the clock, on top of babysitting my daughter while I work and cooking dinner for the family at least three nights a week. I know she exhausted, but too unselfish to ask for a break.

"Our grandma is writing this for us as we are only 5 and 3. Our mom has had to deal with Thyroid Cancer while working full time, looking after us and our dad and we have just moved house, so we feel that she deserves this break." - Sheila
  •
My mom is the most awesome mom in the world! She takes care of everybody but herself. She loves her children and her grandkids to no end. She has a job that pays no money at all and the money she makes she spends on me (to help pay my student loans), my neieces and nephews (school clothes, school supplies, field trips, doctor's appt., medicing, you name it!), my sister and brother, and my dad. She needs a day just for herself, she deserves to be treated like a queen. She needs a break, she needs relaxation but she will never admit it. I would love to see my mom win this outing...it would just make her day! - Shereka

"My mom has just had the worst 2 weeks of her life recently.. We were supposed to go on a 7 day cruise from 04-14 to 04-21.. On 04/14 we arrived and started our cruise and on 04/15 my mom had a heart attack while on board.. she was removed from the ship to a hospital in Key West then transported to Mt Sinai hospital in Miami for surgery to insert 2 stints in her heart.. My mom doesn't usually complain so she remained quiet the first night of our cruise even though she was having pains in her chest so as not to worry my husband and myself.. Thats the way my mom is and it nearly killed her.. Rather than leave my mother alone in a city far from home we decided to leave the cruise early and fly home at our first port of call.. My mother feels guilty about ruining our cruise but I want her to know there is no reason to.. I would give up anything for her. I think is she could enjoy a spa day knowing that I submitted a request for her might let show her how important she is to me and how 1 interrupted cruise little cruise means so little. The picture attached was taken on vacation a couple of years ago. Thank you, Terecia P"

"My Mother is tired, stressed and in need of a day away from my Father. My Father has COPD, Lung Cancer, Dementia, and a number of other afflictions. He needs 24 hour care and she gives it to him on top of running the rest of their lives. This is a feat for her as she had always been the one cared for. Not long ago we were told that he did not have long left and we should prepare. In response to that she is going the extra mile to make his last months great. She hasn't thought about herself in ages." Terry

"I need a Mom's day out so I can recharge my bateries and carry on doing what I do for my wonderful family. I have four children, the oldest is 13 and the youngest is 6. Each child is involved in sports and school activities. I work full time helping other families and their children and sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming. Every extra penny goes towards my children (they deserve it) and every minute of free time is spent cleaning or running errands. I would love to put myself first for one day of the year and not feel guilty : )" - Barbara

I need a Mom's day out to have an escape from all the things that need to be done in my spare time. When home and not at work, especially on the weekend, it is hard to focus on relaxing when there is so much that needs to be done. My son just moved back home from UCF dorm, and he has twice as much STUFF! Wow! don't know where to put it all. My husband and I have tried for months to plan a weekend away, but have not been able due to so much around home that needs to be done. - Christine

I work both a full time job and a part time job. Plus I do all the yard work and most of the cooking and housework for my husband and two kids. The store where I work my part time job will be closing on June 9th. Although I can use the extra time to mow the grass and do other yard work, I'm already stressing about the upcoming financial pinch. I need a spa day to relax and soak up the bliss! - Darlene

"My mother really deserves this because she is a really hardworking mom. She doesn't go out of her way to take care of herself because she is always taking care of other people. My father recently passed away and she has become really depressed because of this. I really want her to win this because I want to show her that life doesn't end just because it was time for my dad to go. My mother is an awesome and beautiful mom. I love her and she deserves this awesome gift to be pampered like a queen. :)"

When I was born, my mom chose to leave her career that she loved to raise my sister and me. In 2010, when the youngest had just left the "nest" and she was looking forward to some “me time”, my father was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. From 2010 through today, he has gone through two separate lung transplants, countless hospital stays, and weekly hospital visits. She has been not only by his side at every drop and turn, but still manages to support her children with love and guidance. From 3 am panicked calls from her daughters, to 6 am walks with dog, cleaning, cooking, giving medication, and never once doing it with anything less than a smile. This woman is literally the glue to our family. After 24 years of putting everyone before her, she needs a day to herself! - Katie

"Reasons why my mother needs a day out by Thomas age 7: My mom is really active in PTA, cub scouts, room mom, school helper/fundraiser, grandparents’ day, Dr Seuss birthday party, church egg hunt, and more. She likes to volunteer in the community (various boards and committees) to help me know what citizenship is and ensure my future is bright with possibilities. She works really hard at a job that is really important doing an entire City’s payroll and counting money. Her job keeps her busy, but she always makes time for me and makes me feel important no matter what. My dad is a policeman and works weird hours, so my mom does everything in our house. She makes sure I never miss anything and I always feel loved and safe. She tries REALLY hard to be kind everyday and makes sure all my classmates feel special too! She is my very best friend ever. She would do ANYTHING for me. She is creative, fun, silly, and serious all rolled up into one awesome mom!" - Kevin

She is the best mom ever, Single mom with three kids, works full time and takes care of us, cooks, cleans the house and does everything on her own. We are with mom 365 days a week no break for her. She has been through so much lost her mom at 3 years old. Thinks of us first and her family members and friends before she thinks of herself. She makes sure that everyone is happy especially her kids. She has not taken a day off from work unless one of us is sick. Even if she is sick she makes sure she makes to work. My dad had restriction on mom and us not allowing us to come back to the states, she did her best to bring us back home. The best mom Ever. - Kinda

"My name is Kristin Dignen. I am 18 years old and an identical twin. I am the daughter of Karen Jones. My mom has been a single mom of three kids for 14 years. My mom is a hardworking, caring, loving, supportive, selfless, compassionate, and dedicated mother. I don't know any other woman like her. My mom has taught me so much. She has struggled throughout her whole life even through all the trials and hard times, she still put her kids first and never gave up. Watching my mom go through tough times and then seeing her succeed made me realize how thankful i am to call her my mom. She has taught me to never give up and to always be myself. She never complains and she is always giving and doing other things for people. My mom works full time and she never gets time by herself. She is always doing things for us and making sure her kids are provided. I would love to see my mom enjoy herself for once and i want her to know how much i love and appreciate her. If i ever lost my mom i would be devastated. My mom is everything to me and i love her with all my heart. She never does anything for herself and i believe in her life right now she deserves something. I strongly think my mom deserves this because she is my role model, my leader, my mentor, and a beauiful woman inside and out. I know she would really appreciate this and she would not take anything for granted. Just to see my mom smile makes me smile. But to see her smile because shes enjoying herself would make my life complete. My mom is amazing and i thank God everyday for blessing me with her. Shes done so much for being a single mom and again, she never gave up. She deserves this. Thank you so much for taking your time to read this. -God Bless- -Kristin D-( her daughter )"

My mom needs a Mom's Day Out because she is always doing for others and doesn't take time for herself. She's a great mother and grandmother and is always there whenever you need her. She works two part-time jobs and also has her own company which she recently started and deserves some time for herself. - Lisa

"My mom has been thru so much in her life time and she really deserves a day to be pampered. She has been a single mom for 20 years and she has a lot of health problems that keeps her run down all the time. She came close to dying in 2010 from 5 bleeding ulcers due to way to much stress. She never gets to have any fun and she has not even been able to date at all in 20 years.I was born very sick and wasn't expected to live, but mom just stopped living to help keep me alive. She never does anything for her self.Right now she is trying to solve the mystery of how my uncle was hit by a car and almost killed and she looks after my grandma to.Please give her something just for her." - Lisa

My mom is a very hard working single parent I have a younger brother as well as myself. My mom has been a single parent for 16 years and alway made sure we had everything we needed and more. My mom has a lot of health issues she has diabetics and has three stints in her heart as well as she had a herniated disc and had to have back surgery. Despite this all she always showed my brother and my self to never give up and always keep going. Also my brother suffers from mild depression and that is hard on my mom as well he recently started going to a private school where the class sizes are much smaller which has helped a lot but once again that is another thing my mom has to worry about paying for and supplying trasportation. I know to everyone there mom is special and deserves this but I really do believe my mom just needs a break and a day out for herself! I appricate you considering my mom who is my hero and I aspire to be half the women she is. - Ryann

My mother Hiedi who is in the purple shirt in the picture needs a mom's day out because she never gets out! She does alot for me, my brother, and my sister but never has time to do anything for herself. She always talks about doing things for herself but she never does because she never has the time to do it or is doing things for us. I feel bad when she talks about doing something for herself because she needs it and could use the time out! If she wins she will be so happy and so will i because she will finally get the time to do something that benefits her!

My mom works very hard as a cleaning lady at IKEA. She usually works overtime and she has to ride the bus to work every day 6x a week. She help me for years baby sitting my 3 kids while I was going to nursing school. She used to help me clean houses to make a couple of bucks since I was a single mother back then. She raised me all by herself since my Dad left us when I was a little girl. But above all those things she is a caring woman that would starve to feed someone that doesn't have any food. I wish I could afford to give her an awesome mother's day, but since I can't, it would be fantastic if she wins your contest. Thank you.

I think I deserve a day out because I am a mother of 3 daughters. Unfortunately, my oldest daughter lives with her father and we only get to see her on school vacations. I am currently attending college as an English major and am also working. It is summer now so I am finally getting a little time off to spend with my girls. I am normally in school Monday through Thursday and then work the rest of the week. I try to make sure my girls are number one so I don't get much time to myself. A day out would be an amazing gift!
  •
I seem to always put others first rather than myself.

My mom deserves this Mom's day out because she is the greatest mother in the world. She always helps out my brothers and I when we need her help with anything and she also helps out a lot of her friends when they are in need. These last few weeks have been pretty hard lately because my mom was under a lot of stress and didn't really know what else to do financial wise, but this little vacation I think would help her out a lot to get her relaxed and actually enjoy being out somewhere instead of worrying what's going on right now. So please let my mom be able to go on this nice little vacation because she really deserves and needs this. Thank You

"I think I deserve a day out because I have so much going on right now that I am overwhelmed. I have been working part time for 2 years now and our financial situation is becoming a hardship. I do pretty much everything around the house and have absolutly no time for myself. Please pick me ! ;)"
  •
She is the best mom ever!! When I need someone to talk to or I am short on funds to pay my bills she always helps me out. She always has my back. She doesn't take time for herself because she is always helping others. She would really enjoy this pampering for the day and deserves it!!

For the past 14 years I have been a single mom. I've worked steadily up until 5 years ago when work has been on & off (mostly off) but have always put my 4 children first. Even when times are tough & money is scarce I would rather starve as long as my kids get to eat. I am still on the search for that "perfect job" where I can balance work & my family. Maybe I am dreaming, but I have high hopes for the future! :) I don't believe in "any job will do" because realistically a minimum wage job will not be enough to pay my bills & support my family. Attached is a picture of my kids when we visited my grandmother recently. They are 21, 17, 15 & 5 and the GREATEST KIDS EVER!!! At a young age they have learned that when there is wealth there is plenty & when its scarce we pull together & suck it up. They know the value of the dollar & don't take things for granted.

My mom works very hard and just became a cancer survivor. Even while recovering she was always helping co-workers by speaking with them over the phone and occasionally still going into work. She still has a surgery to finish up reconstruction and her mom who is turning 89 this year and is in the beginning stages of dementia and lives with her. She does the best she can and deserves a night out of special treatment!

I'm nominating my daughter. She has three kids (6, 4 and 15) and has made "Mom" her full time job. She has not done anything for herself in 15 years and deserves a day just for her. She is currently separated and can't afford the essentials much less the finer things. As I am only working part time, I can no longer help her as I once was capable of before I retired. She has no self esteem, as she gives everything to raising her children. She deserves one day for herself. Thank you

I'm 63 and work two jobs. I clean houses during the day and work as a host for The Villages. Come the end of the week I am tired and need a rest. What a wonderful special gift this would be to win.

My mom deserves not only a day out but a whole week and even more. She has been through a lot health wise. She has had 14 surgeries in different parts of her body and she have to undergo another one soon, all because of different conditions that she has. Even though she had back surgery 2 years ago, she is still in a lot of pain and can’t sometimes walk straight or sit for a long time. But still she tries to be the wonder woman she has been for so long and tries to keep her family together in many ways. She loves to sing and dance (not as before) but most of all she loves to laugh; she is a very kind and loving woman. She works hard every day (at her job and at home) even though she suffers of constant pain, she is a strong will person and I admire her. She means the world to me; she is my best friend, she is my mom.

"I am a single mom. Had to raise my girls the best I could. We have had some very difficult years, but, I love them both with all my heart, and they both have grown to be very strong women. My girls are my LIFE."
  •
My Mom deserves this day out because she works so hard, and is always there for me regardless of the whatever else she has going on. I am seventeen and I know that i'm sometimes moody and hardheaded, and difficult to get along with, but I never doubt the love my mother has for me, regardless of how I act. This is why my Mom deserves this day.
  •
My beautiful mother, Sylvia, deserves a Day Out because it has been awhile since she has been pampered. She is a single mother of 4 who has raised us and continues to help us 35+ years later. I have recently been traveling a lot for work and my mom has helped me out by taking care of my two kids a couple days a week by picking/dropping them off at school and then getting to work at a decent time. She is a hero in my life and I'm very grateful that she puts her own life on hold to help any of us out whenever we need her. She deserves this day to feel like a queen and have "no worries" for a day.
  •
I am nominating one of my dearest friends Andrea. She is a single mom to three great kids plus she takes care of her very ill dad. She lost her own mother to cancer several years ago and thinks about her everyyday. She just found out her dad has liver cancer on top of his other illnesses which they have struggled with for over a year. Yet her dad refuses to stop working to care for them so her kids can have a good education. She gets no support for her kids, spends every waking hour tending to their needs as well as her father's, plus someone she finds the time (and energy) to volunteer hours and weekends to a non profit organization. She never takes a minute for herself because she feels that is selfish. She needs a break in the worse possible way. She would give everything and anything to help others in need without even batting an eye. i pray that she wins because i can't think of a more deserving person. Thank you for reading my entry.

I am a mother of 5, ages 3,5,7,10 & 13, I am currently pregnant w/our 6th child. My husband is an over the road truck driver and gone for months at a time so its just me & the kids 24/7 basically. He won't be home till end of June when its closer to me having the baby(due July 12th). My Birthday is May 16th, since he won't be here i wasn't going to celebrate it... I never win anything, & i rarely do things for "myself" this would be a really awesome mother's day/birthday gift. Thanks for considering me :)
  •
My mom needs a day out because she is the perfect mother and has worked hard all her life to provide financially and emotionally to everything that has come about with all three of her children. I could ask for a better mother. She lives in Virginia and I don't get to see her ofter but we talk every week

I am a savvy business women. Encouraging and motivating others to successed and excel for positive outcomes. Also, I am a mother of two, a wife, a daughter, and a friend. I share and enjoy the simple pleasures of life at home, where I work, play & create. Those that know me choose to see the quality of person I chose to be, creative and unique.

My mom needs a Mom's Day Out, because she works so hard at taking care of her husband, her three kids, and her grandson. She doesn't get a lot of free time due to her spending all of her time helping the family out with everything. She's a really wonderful mother and I believe this is just what she needs and deserves.
  •
My mother Josie needs a mom's day out. She is constantly putting others first and is the most unselfish woman I have ever known! Josie is very caring, giving, and full of knowledgeable words of wisdom. I am not a mother yet, but when I do become one I only hope I can be like the great role model she is to me. My mother Josie is truly a blessing and I'm super lucky to have someone like her in my life.

Hi my name is Susan Warford. My mom is Heather Everhart. My mom has taken care of me by herself with no help from my father physicaly or finacialy. During the years she has gone from being a certified nursing assistance to becoming a nurse and now a nurse manager. I have been through some experiences in my life and my mom has always been supportive. I had tried living with my father for a short time but when that was not all it was cracked up to be there my mom was with open arms for me. Taking me back in and getting my back on track. I just completed my GED and I could have never done it without my moms support. She has been through her own trials and tribulations but always seems to worry about others and not herself. My mom's best friends from nursing school got leukemia had if for a year. Went into remission for six months then it came back. My mom took her and her family into out three bedroom house. Providing meals and care (bed baths, shots, ect). When she went back into the hospital mom would take shifts during the week to stay the night to give her fiance a break. Until the day she got the call at 3 am that she had a stroke my mom rushed out to pick up her kids. Remaind at ther bedside that day till she passed away. My mom was pregnant the same time as her so the boys are 6 weeks apart. This took place three years ago my mom still takes her son everyother weekend and provieds cloths and things his mom would (underware) lol...This is how my mom is.We go out and line dance together often. She is my mom when she needs to be and my best friend when I need that. She gives a lot to others. My mom does elderly care. When a patient needs shoes or such at work and family can not provide my mom gives what she can.She will go on her own time pick them up take them to dinner or to a parade just to get them out. She helps my friends when they are in a crisis. She gives the shirt of her back I work at Sonny's part time and unable to give her the mothers day I think she deserves.

My name is Jeannette and my Mom needs a day out because..... She is a hard working woman who continuously works hard to be the best she can be. She is a mother to 3. Myself (18), Bryanna (12) and AJ (4). My mom has been under alot of stress lately as this is my Senior year in high school and there has been alot of expenses. Also I was awarded a scholarship to Barry University in Miami and I will soon be leaving home. The idea of me leaving has my Mom under alot of stress but she doesnot let it show. She just continues to be who she is and pushes us to strive to the top always. I really hope my Mom wins because she is very deserving of it and I donot have the means to pay for such a luxurious gift for her. At least not until after Nursing school. lol....

I want to nominate my daughter, Rocki Lyn Mitchell, for a Mom's Day out. She works very hard, nights, then has to sleep of a morning. She has a 13 yr. old daughter that she does a lot of things with. She has very limited funds and rarely does anything for herself. Almost never in fact. She helps her friends anytime they need help, they know they can always count on her. Rocki Lyn is a 32 yr old single parent. I feel a day of pampering would mean th eworld to her. She is also very helpful to me and her father.

"My mother, Janet, is a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, in addition to being a wonderful daughter to her 94-year old mother. My mom took care of my dad for two years while he suffered from lung cancer, ignoring her own needs. About seven months after he died, my mother finally went to the doctor to see what her ignored symptoms meant. She ended up having double bypass heart surgery, and we almost lost her...partially because of her medical condition, and partially because she almost gave up. She hung on for her children and grand children. Less than one year later, mom was again faced with taking care of someone...me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and mom was there for every treatment and doctor visit. She took care of me when I needed her, and took care of my kids when I was unable to due to chemotherapy and weakness. Mom's mobility is limited due to severe arthritis and other medical conditions, but she still takes her 94-year old mother shopping every week. She is much less spry than her mother, but does what she can to take care of her. Mom continues to be a wonderful person, mother and grandmother. My children and my nieces and nephews, though most are grown, always make an effort to come see their grandma. She is very involved in our lives, and still continues to listen to ""pop"" music so she can talk with her teenage grandchildren about what interests them. Because of her selflessness and caring for others before her own needs, I think my mother deserves a ""day out"". Valerie R"

My mother retired after 40 years of teaching (music and High School math). She has been taking care of her special needs sister since her mother passed away 12 years ago. She is always helping others (planting gardens, tending to others homes, grand-ma sitting, house sitting, just to name a few). She is always doing for others and never takes a moment for herself. My mother is the woman that everyone calls when they need something, but she never asks others for their help. She is a blessing to my family and I and I would love to see her receive a day of pampering. - Clara

I want my wife Elizabeth the mother of three children to win this contest because, she has a lot happen to her when she was a child. Her mother died when she was 7, she had to grow up from foster home to foster home. She was originally born in Canada but married me then she moved to the states. We have 3 children whose names are Laura Natalia, and Abbigail. Laura is 14, Natalia, is 10, and Abbigail is 8. She works very hard for them to have a better life then she did, and she still helps so many other people. We have recently lost our company and she now works temporarily at and acting school. She also home schools the children and takes them to auditions and is now starting a web store called La vie emporium. She does custom designing for all sorts of costumes and clothing and furniture and jewelry and many more different things. She also helps many more people in her life. She has donated her time to help other people by making 50 costumes for free for her children's theater shows and is making some costumes for another theater show all for free. She also has donated money to many different charities and has helped so many family members and friends. Me and my daughters strongly believe she deserves this because she has done so much for other people and nothing for herself. Now we want to treat her.She inspires many people. She is an amazing, Friend, sister, aunt, Wife but most of all an amazing mother. Shes a beautiful person inside and out. - Ismaile

"Dear the team of 107.7, My mom does so much for me. She barely makes the money needed to keep the roof over our heads. She is a single mom and has personal issues. She cooks for me, cleans, encourages and always supports me. She also does a lot of volunteer work to fight for people's rights. Really, I feel bad. Throughout the whole year my mom does everything she can to keep us in a house, fed, and throw a birthday party. Then finally when its mothers day, what happens, the best I can do is get her a flimsy card or a small bouquet of flowers. This year I want something special for mom, something to actually give her a chance to relax and to enjoy herself, I want her to have a mothers day she'll never forget. Yours truly, Marcos, son of Jennifer."

"I have three teens... well, four if you include my husband. I work full time, constantly on the run with my kids to one thing or another and every weekend, the kids have a few of their friends over. I also have lupus, fibro & a broken vertebrae and never enough money to do much for myself If I win this, I""m going to take my 14 year old daughter with me. Yes, Mom is going to spend the day with her 'little' girl. Sound crazy to WANT to be with your teens? Not really. I have amazing kids that do so much for me and I adore them. I'd love to have one day for some fun. I would really enjoy just one day of someone pampering ME for once :)"

A lot of people say that their mom is the best mom in the world, but, in my case, it's really true. After my divorce, my mother helped me not only financially, but emotionally to help me with my children and help me get through college. After I got my degree and started teaching, she didn't stop there. She supported me through my encounter with cancer while keeping her own diagnosis of breast cancer until after I recovered from my surgery! Thankfully, we both made a full recovery. She supported me in my endeavor to finally buy my own house and continued to encourage me as I went through grad school. She is the best grandmother to my and my brothers' children one could ask for. Energetic, supportive, strict, and funny (obviously, if you look at the picture!)- I absolutely believe that I wouldn't be where I am today without her. And, for a single mother who raised five kids to be successful adults on a teacher's salary, I believe she did an amazing job! And I hope you do, too. She deserves more rewards than I could possibly give her!

Hi. I definitely in need for a girls day out. I have had a lot on my plate for the past 4 months and just need a day to myself. My husband moved 1 hr. away for school Monday-Friday so, my girls and I only see him on the weekends and most of that time he is studying for CRNA school. We asked my parents to move in with us to make it a little easier on me but, my mom has been up in New Jersey since January because my Grandpa has been battling cancer. Then, out of no way my Mom’s sister/ my Godmother got sick on March 12, 2012 (it turns out she had cancer too… Stage4 Lung Cancer) and on April 13, 2012 my Aunt Donna passed away ?. I am basically a single mom during sooooo much right now, I would love just one day to myself please. Thank you, Rosemary G

"I am a single mom of a 13 year old and a 16 year old, both boys. I would do and give up anything for them and have. I work full time and take care of them the best I can. They are so incredible. I have no family around to help and their father will rarely take them and never on a Friday or Saturday. I have Never been in a Limo! I am 41 years old. I would so enjoy having a limo ride and some time for me and me and the boys always! I just recently gave up my boyfriend because I did not think it would work with my boys. I am ready for a day out. I work at Gibson Truck World in Sanford. I live in Casselberry. Please consider me. My sons think this is a good idea."
